Terms of Membership

The terms that govern membership of Topfloor. Short where we can be, precise where we must be.

Last updated 7 October 2026

01

Who we are

Topfloor is a private members' network, open by application only. In these terms, “Topfloor”, “we” and “us” mean the people and business operating Topfloor from the United Kingdom; “you” means anyone who applies to, or becomes a member of, Topfloor.

By submitting an application, signing in, or using the Topfloor website or members' app, you agree to these terms and to our Privacy Policy.

02

Membership is by application

Topfloor is not open to the public. Every application is reviewed, and we may accept or decline any application at our sole discretion and without giving a reason. Being accepted does not create a right to remain a member.

You must be at least 18 and give accurate information about yourself. Your account is personal to you and must not be shared, sold or transferred.

03

Fees and renewal

Where membership carries a fee, the amount, the billing period and the renewal terms will be shown clearly to you before you pay. By paying, you agree to them.

Payments are processed by a third-party payment provider. We do not see or store your full card details.

If you are a consumer who joins online, you may have a legal right to cancel within 14 days of joining. If you have already started to use your membership in that period, you may be asked to pay a proportionate amount for what you've used. Nothing in these terms limits any cancellation or refund rights you have by law.

How to cancel, and when a cancellation takes effect, will be explained when you join and in your account.

04

The standard we expect

Topfloor is built on discipline, loyalty and respect. As a member you agree that you will:

  • treat other members with courtesy and honesty;
  • not harass, threaten, deceive or discriminate against anyone;
  • not use Topfloor to spam, to solicit members, or to promote anything without our permission;
  • not post anything unlawful, defamatory, or that you don't have the right to share;
  • not attempt to access parts of Topfloor, or other members' data, that you are not authorised to see.
05

What's inside stays inside

Membership is private. What is shared inside Topfloor is not for outside eyes.

You agree not to copy, screenshot, record, publish, forward or otherwise share, outside Topfloor, any member's identity or details, any message, post or discussion, any Topfloor material, or any non-public information about how Topfloor works, unless the person concerned (or we) have given permission in writing.

This obligation continues after your membership ends. Breaching it can lead to immediate removal from Topfloor, and we may take legal action to protect our members and our business.

06

Intellectual property

The Topfloor name, logo, constitution, design, text, software and all other content we create are owned by or licensed to Topfloor and are protected by copyright, trade mark and other laws.

You may not copy, reproduce, imitate, adapt, publish or use any of it, or any confusingly similar name, logo or design, without our prior written permission. We will take action against infringement, including legal proceedings.

07

What you post

You keep ownership of what you post inside Topfloor, such as achievements, comments and messages. By posting, you give us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to host, display and distribute it within Topfloor so that the service can work.

Members can also add links and recommendations to the Vault. You are responsible for what you add. Only add things you have a right to share and that you genuinely recommend. Do not add anything unlawful, misleading, or that promotes your own business, an affiliate arrangement or anything you are paid for without saying so. We do not check or endorse what members add, and we are not responsible for any website, product or advice a link leads to. Following a recommendation is your own decision. We may remove anything from the Vault at any time.

We will not feature you, your name, your photograph or your profile on any public channel, such as social media or our website, unless you have agreed to that.

08

Suspension and removal

We may suspend or remove any member, or delete any content, if we believe these terms have been broken, if a member's behaviour harms others or Topfloor, or where we are required to by law. Where we reasonably can, we will explain why.

You may leave at any time, and you can ask us to delete your account and data (see our Privacy Policy).

09

Availability and our responsibility

We work hard to keep Topfloor running, but we do not promise that it will always be available or free from errors. We may change, pause or withdraw features.

Topfloor is a network, not a professional adviser. We do not guarantee any business outcome, introduction, opportunity or income, and you are responsible for your own decisions and dealings with other members.

Nothing in these terms excludes or limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be excluded, nor does it affect your statutory consumer rights. Subject to that, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, or for loss of profit or opportunity.

10

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. If we make a material change, we will tell members in advance by email or within the app. Continuing to use Topfloor after a change takes effect means you accept the updated terms.

11

Law and disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. The courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction, although if you are a consumer living elsewhere in the UK you may also bring a claim in your local courts.
